School Wide Positive Behaviour

School-wide positive behaviour support (SWPBS) is a framework that brings together school communities to develop positive, safe, supportive learning cultures. It is an evidenced based approach supported by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

At Portarlington Primary School,  the School Wide Positive Behaviour framework supports us in creating a learning environment where children can feel confident and progress in their learning and develop their own sense of creativity and curiosity. As an inclusive school, all children are welcomed and feel safe, valued and they are cared for. 

Our values matrix has been developed and explicitly outlines the expected behaviours of our students.
